Giraffe is a puppet show for kids featuring a toy giraffe with the power to bring wishes to life. As the giraffe is passed from one owner to the next, it transforms—helping a lonely boy find a friend and a dreamer learn to fly. Told entirely through the power of visual theatre and music, this heartwarming story beautifully explores the magic hidden in everyday objects. Giraffe is just one of the many puppet shows playing at Puppet Festival Mississauga.

Hop Signor is a puppet theatre in Athens, Greece that was founded in 2014 by Evgenia Tsichlia and Thanos Sioris. Having studied and worked in different fields such as theater, education, science, crafts and humanities, they found in puppets and inanimate objets, a common ground for expression. Hop Signor use minimal scenic elements that leave space for the exploration of movement. It is this movement, in conjunction with the use of sound and light, which form the company’s non-verbal vocabulary. Their stories are inspired by places, objects and people.
