About The Artist
Puppet Slam is presented by Ontario artists Adam Francis Proulx, Byron Laviolette, Kate Hemblen, Vernon Freer, Meg Gibson, and Jeff McGilton.
These artists have been at the core of our festival, working alongside national and international artists who joined us this year at Puppet Festival Mississauga.
Puppetry in Ontario is growing rapidly, with artists exploring new approaches to visual theatre, object performance, and contemporary puppetry.
Puppet Festival Mississauga is proud to support this growing community.
Part of our mandate is to help puppeteers grow and gain national and international opportunities by connecting them with artists, presenters, and audiences from across Canada and around the world.
