About The Artist
Founded in 1996 in Bulgaria and based in Montréal since 2004, Puzzle Théâtre is known for its vibrant blend of drama, object theatre, and puppetry. The company’s hallmark is an imaginative, visually driven approach that invites audiences to interpret what is unspoken, make their own associations, and discover meaning beyond what appears onstage. Through poetic imagery and precise movement, its productions speak across languages and cultures.
Puzzle Théâtre has developed a creation-based process rooted in exploration, transformation, and the expressive potential of everyday materials, turning simple objects into powerful storytelling tools. Each project emerges through research, improvisation, and close collaboration among artists.
At the centre of the company are Pavla Mano and Csaba Raduly. Mano holds a Master’s degree in Theatre Directing and Puppetry from the National School for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. Raduly studied Drama at Babeș-Bolyai University in Kolozsvár and performed roles in repertory theatre.
