ABOUT THE FILM MAKER

Irwan Junaidy graduated from the UK with an architecture degree and is the co-founder of The R&D Studio, an award-winning content development studio based in Malaysia. He has a passion for telling stories and building make-believe worlds, particularly those that are inspired by the people, arts and cultures of South East Asia. His directorial debut, Batik Girl (2018) is a 2D animated short film that went on a successful festival circuit.
