About Chloe Matamoros

Chloe Matamoros, actor, singer, mover, and writer. Chloe acted in two Toronto productions recently, playing Honey in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at the Red Sand-Castle Theatre and Mary Ann in Better Living with Alumnae Theatre. She performed in the Tarragon Greenhouse Festival with the new work, Pictures at an Exhibition as a storyteller and opera singer. Chloe wrote an autobiographical piece on classical singing, titled Voice: Song and Scream which she performed at the Toronto Fringe 2023. Voice: Song and Scream includes storytelling, dialogue, movement choreography, original songs and opera. Chloe performs with Chroma Vocal Ensemble recently touring to Montreal to sing at Podium, a bi-annual choral festival. They also write and perform their original music. Chloe is often inspired by an artist training program, that was very formative for them, the Soulpepper City Youth Academy which she took in 2014, from which she draws inspiration for collective art making using exercises like vocal improvisations, and song sharing. Chloe looks forward to bringing new dreams to life as a writer, creator, singer and actor. Chloe also teaches voice and piano, and has extensive experience working in outdoor education with children.

Chloe is a member of the Summer Ensemble 2024 program.
