About Johnson Wang
Johnson Wang is currently a student at Toronto Metropolitan University studying Performance: Production at The Creative School. He just finished his first year of his four year long Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Johnson is excited to join the Summer Ensemble as he has never had the chance to work in an actual theatre before. This opportunity allows Johnson to grow and gain experience working in technical theatre.
He has worked as a lighting designer and operator for his high school’s rendition of The Little Mermaid, and was the stage manager for Mamma Mia! Johnson also got the chance to compete at the National Theatre Festival and was the lighting designer and operator for the play Brainstrom.
Outside of theatre Johnson enjoys the calmness of Mother Nature, he loves biking and going for long walks with and without friends. He also enjoys exploring the city and is always interested in trying out new food. Feel free to recommend any places and he will definitely be checking it out.
Being raised in a first generation household with one older brother, he understands how important it is to work hard and give 100% of the effort for anything.
He hopes that in the future he gets work as a lighting director and gets to tour around the world with artists and bands. Johnson is very grateful for this opportunity to be part of the Summer Ensemble and hopes that this experience will be a memorable one for him in the future.

Education
Johnson Wang is currently a student at Toronto Metropolitan University studying Performance: Production at The Creative School. He has gained experience in technical theatre with the shows he got to work on in high school and the hands on experience provided by his university program. He also got the chance to work on some small gigs.
Work Experience
Johnson has worked at a wild range of industries. From the service industry to the industrial industry. He has worked as a restaurant server, fast food crew member, a summer camp counsellor. He also was an internet at a private equity firm for a month. The latest job he was working at was a packager at a mill work.
