Graham Soul is the director and creator of CUCKOO and also a puppeteer. After studying theater and acrobatics, Graham began his theatre career as an actor-acrobat and then as a puppeteer. The creation of Coucou allowed him to wear new hats as author, designer, composer and director. Jérémie Desbiens is the co-director of CUCKOO and also a puppeteer. A graduate of the National Theater School of Canada, Jérémie is a puppeteer at many puppet theatres across Quebec. He is also a talented voice actor. Eloi Cousineau has had multiple artistic and non-artistic roles: actor, firefighter volunteer, puppeteer, trumpeter, telemarketer, clown, clerk, improviser, director and painter. Eloi especially loves to practice the art of parenting with his beloved of 19 years! Martin Vaillancourt is a versatile and accomplished artist. After his training at the LionelGroulx College Theater Option, Martin has gone on to perform as an actor, acrobat, and dancer in both theatre and television in his home province of Quebec. Nancy Longchamp has been doing lighting for puppet shows for a long time for many theatres across Quebec. She is also a lighting designer, technical director and stage manager.
Trained as an actor and acrobat, Graham Soul has dedicated himself to puppet theatre for more than 25 years. His mission is to create original puppet theatre works for young audiences, highlighting artistic quality and technical innovation. Sound and visual imagery guide the dramaturgy, and the puppets and scenic elements are at the heart of the creative process. Favourite themes touch on the fantastic and the powers of the imagination.
