Terror is a courtroom drama, written by one of the most successful German contemporary writers, Ferdinand von Schirach. The play questions the idea of a means justifying an end and warns against quantifying human life. The audience serves as a jury at the trial of a fighter jet pilot. He is accused of killing 164 passengers off a commercial airplane, hijacked by terrorists, heading towards a soccer stadium with 70,000 people. The playwright
Ferdinand von Schirach
Ferdinand von Schirach is a German lawyer and writer. He was born in 1964 in Munich, Germany. Von Schirach became an attorney in 1994, specializing in criminal law. He gained public attention in 2008 due to his involvement prosecuting the BND (German Federal Intelligence Service) during the”Liechtenstein Tax Affair”. He published his first short stories at the age of forty-five, and soon became one of Germany’s most successful authors. His books have been translated into over 35 languages, and have sold millions of copies worldwide. Ferdinand von Schirach remains active in criminal law. His stories are often inspired by his experience and expertise as an attorney.

Andreja Kovac
Mississauga based emerging professional theatre company, Crane Creations, was founded by Andreja Kovac, National Theatre School’s Directing Program Graduate, and experienced director, educator, producer and creator, originally from Slovenia, now based in Canada. Andreja frequently worked on community involved projects most notably participating in developing and producing a community engaged project Circle of Friendship in Bled, Slovenia, where a human chain of people holding hands in a 6 km long circle around a lake is formed every year to celebrate friendship and breaking barriers between people.

Is the show online or in person?
Both. The show will take place in person at Clarke Memorial hall (161 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5H 1G3), and will also be live streamed online.
Is it recorded or live?
It’s live, meaning that everything you are seeing is really happening live at the theatre.
How long is the show?
The show is 2 hours long, and that includes one short intermission.
Can I watch the show at a later time?
No. The show is not recorded and cannot be made available after it has been played live.

How are you keeping safe during Covid-19?
Crane Creations Theatre Company is following all guidelines provided by Peel Region, including checking that audience members are all double vaccinated before entering the venus. PPE is provided in theatre. Audience members will be seated apart from each other and (groups will be seated with their own bubble).
The theatre is regularly cleaned before and after each show. Each member of our team is certified by the Red Cross in Preventing Disease Transmission.
The cast are tested every two days using rapid COVID tests to minimize risk of infestion.
